Energy Analysis Projects

      USGBC LEED Projects
      • Four tenant office building
A LEED NC "major rehab" project with a total of 6,291 square feet of conditioned space divided into four tenant units.

Bear Technologys was assigned the LEED Energy & Atmosphere Prerequisite 2 and Credit 1. The goal of the project was to achieve six of the possible ten points for the Energy & Atmosphere Credit 1 and to comply with the requirements of Energy & Atmosphere Prerequisite 2. 1.
      • Mixed use office and manufacturing facility
A LEED NC project with a combination of 24,444 square feet of conditioned office space and 100,926 square feet of unconditioned space designated for manufacture and order processing of vitamins for human consumption.

Bear Technologys was assigned LEED Energy & Atmosphere Credit 1. The goal of the project was to achieve seven of the possible ten points for credit 1.
      • Freight and Storage facility
A LEED NC project, the building is a combination of space for offices and freight storage. The building's combined conditioned and unconditioned square footage totals 123,070 square feet.

Bear Technologys worked closely with Mechanical Engineers to design a mechanical system that complies with both California's Energy Efficiency requirements and the ASHRAE 90.1-2004 Appendix G standards. The goal of the project was to achieve two points for the LEED Energy & Atmosphere Credit 1.
      • Medical Faicility
A LEED NC project with 5,514 square feet of conditioned space designated for a Medical Dialysis center.

Bear Technologys was retained as a consultant to complete the projects energy compliance documentation as set forth by the California Energy Commission. The second phase of the project was to assist the Architect in determining the feasibility of seeking LEED Certification.
      • Soft drink processing facility
The purpose of this project was to determine whether a new soft drink processing plant in South America would meet the minimum requirements for LEED's Energy & Atmosphere Energy Optimization Credit.

Bear Technologys was retained to evaluate the new construction design to determine the feasibility of meeting the criteria for LEED Certification.
      Energy Analysis
      • Telecomm facility

Bear Technologys was retained to perform an energy analysis of an existing TeleComm facility to identify and document Energy Conservation Opportunities.

The analysis was based on multiple site visits, a review of existing architectural, mechanical, lighting drawings, construction documents, and utility bills.

      • Artificial Intelligence Development Project

Bear Technologys was retained to work with a software development team on an Artificial Intelligence enterprise solution. Our role in the project was to provide the building's energy and optimization analysis. This analysis was used in conjunction with the software to identify the best possible Energy Conservation Measures for an existing building. The goal of the project was to determine the costs and energy savings associated with a combination of Energy Conservation Measures.

      • 680,000 square foot Shopping Center
Bear Technologys was retained to prepare energy efficiency documentation required under the Environmental Protection Agency Act 2005 to support the client's claim of improved Energy Cost Savings. This task required Bear Technologys to analyze the envelope, interior lighting, and mechanical systems of every building in the shopping center and the compliance was measured against ASHRAE 90.1-2004 Appendix G standards.
      • Mid-west Restaurant & Convenience store
Bear Technologys was retained to complete Environmental Protection Agency Act 2005 179D documentation for a lighting tenant improvement project to an existing Restaurant and Convenience Store.
